The Office of Jt. Director General of Foreign Trade, Panipat is a Regional Office functioning under the Ministry of Commerce, Office of the Director General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi and providing the following facilities to the Importers/Exporters :- 

1. Registration and issue of Importer & Exporter Code No. to the Importers/Exporters.

2. Issue of Star Status Certificates to the Exporters.

3. Issue of Duty Entitlement Pass Book to the Exporters.

4. Issue of Advance to the Exporters/Importers.

5. Issue of Duty Free Import Authorization.

6. Issue of Capital Goods Licences to the Importers/Exporters under the scheme of Export Promotion Capital Goods.

7. Issue of licence for duty credit under Vishesh Krishi and Gran Udyog Yojana.

8. Deemed Export benefits for local supply/export to the indigenous companies/Projects/100% Export Oriented Units etc.

9. Issue of Licence under Focus Market and Focus Product Scheme.

The Office of the Jt. Director General of Foreign Trade, Panipat covers the following jurisdiction for purpose of obtaining the required benefits by the Importers/Exporters :-

1. Importers and Exporters situated in the State of Haryana except the district of Faridabad and Gurgaon.
2. Importers and Exporters situated in district of Muzzaffarnagar and Saharanpur of Uttar Pradesh.

The procedure for obtaining benefits relating to the above scheme is given in the Import & Export Policy and Hand Book of procedures 2004-2009 published by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, Govt. of India and is available in market with leading Book Sellers on price.
